France, 1917.

Adele is a young widow struggling to make ends meet as World War I rages on; her husband was killed on the battlefield at the beginning of the war.

Crippled by grief, feeling unable to keep going without him, she resorts to black magic, guided by a manuscript as old as time itself, in the hope of bringing her beloved back to “life”.

She succeeds, but at what cost?
